WavesIconai2-01.png

During these 3-5 day tours we will journey among this exceptional island group as we interpret the unique biology, geology, and human history of the area. This is a sea kayaking tour for both beginners and families, as well as the inquisitive expert.

2026 Dates:

3 Day Tour

July 4-5, 18-20

August 1-3, 21-23

5 Day Tour

 August 15-19,

We will close out our Alumni tours where we began with a 9 day expedition along our favourite destination: the island rich Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia. During our voyage we will meander among inlets and islands, bays and beaches and discover many of the most remote outposts of this incredible archipelago that few paddlers get a chance to visit - and far from the madding crowd. Our companions will be the seals and seabirds at a time of year when the water is the warmest and the sea breezes the lightest.

9 Day Tour: August 9-17

The Canso Archipelago

Join us on our last multi-day tour of the season as we meander about this fascinating archipelago, one of the most isolated coastal regions of the province. It is a stark and compelling landscape highlighting huge glacial boulders perched precariously, overlooking the uninhabited offshore islands. Shallow water covers the white bedrock in sheltered lagoons where the sea becomes a brilliant turquoise more reminiscent of the Carabbean than the North Atlantic and white sand beaches inhabit the protected coves. Even more impressive than the familiar Peggys Cove [but without the people]. This is a memorable journey.
